Festival Week 2006 is now over. It was a great success and we are now all looking forward to the next Festival in 2007. An even longer period is planned for 2007 lasting from 25 July - 4 August 2007.

There were many memorable events and perhaps it is unfair to pick out any one of them. However, the Budleigh Salterton Festival Orchestra with soloist Andrew Millington was such a pleasure as was the concert by Kevin John Hurst and John Lenehan. As we thought the highlight of the week turned out to be the huge reception the town gave to Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, Sue Lawley and Claire Martin.

The free lunchtime concerts were well attended and there were memorable performances to savour.

It is now too late to become a 2006 Friend of the Festival though it is not too early to join for 2007. Please do consider joining or re-joining in 2007 because of the invaluable confidence this gives when considering future programmes.
